چکیده
Over the last years some interest has been gathered by $f(Q)$ theories, which are new candidates to replace Einstein's prescription for gravity. The nonmetricity tensor $Q$ allows put forward assumption of a free torsionless connection and, consequently, degrees freedom in action taken into account. This work focuses on class characterized presence general power-law term adds up standard (linear in) action, and cosmological scenarios arising from them. Using Markov chain Monte Carlo method, we carry out statistical tests relying upon background data such as Type Ia supernovae luminosities direct Hubble (from cosmic clocks), along with microwave shift baryon acoustic oscillations data. us perform multifaceted comparison between these cosmologies (concordance) $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\mathrm{CDM}$ setup. We conclude that, at current precision level, best fits our models correspond values their specific parameters make them hardly distinguishable relativity ``\'echantillon,'' that is, $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\mathrm{CDM}$.

Observational constraints on a decaying cosmological term
We investigate the evolution of a universe with a decaying cosmological term (vacuum energy) that is assumed to be a function of the scale factor. In this model, while the cosmological term increases to the early universe, the radiation energy density is lower than the model with the cosmological "constant". We find that the effects of the decaying cosmological term on the expansion rate at the...
متن کاملCosmological Solutions in String Theories
We obtain a large class of cosmological solutions in the toroidally-compactified low energy limits of string theories in D dimensions. We consider solutions where a p-dimensional subset of the spatial coordinates, parameterising a flat space, a sphere, or an hyperboloid, describes the spatial sections of the physically-observed universe. The equations of motion reduce to Liouville or SL(N + 1, ...
متن کاملObservational Constraints on Pulsar Wind Theories
Two-dimensional, relativistic, MHD simulations of pulsar-wind powered nebulae provide strong constraints on the properties of the winds themselves. In particular, they confirm that Poynting flux must be converted into particle energy close to or inside the termination shock front, emphasising the puzzle known as the σ paradox. To distinguish between the different possible resolutions of this pa...
متن کاملExact Cosmological Solutions of Gravitational Theories
A global picture is drawn tying together most exact cosmological solutions of gravitational theories in four or more spacetime dimensions.
متن کاملSingularity-free Cosmological Solutions in String Theories
Singularity-free cosmological solutions may be obtained from the string action at tree level if the dimension of the space-time is greater than 10 and if brane configurations are taken into account. The behaviour of the dilaton field in this case is also regular. Asymptotically a radiative phase is attained indicating a smooth transition to the standard cosmological model.
